This feature allows Self-Locking Retaining Rings to work at speeds that exceed the recommended rotation capability. The Self-Locking function utilizes one end of the inner layer to protrude to buckle the outer layer's end. Self-Locking Retaining Ring allows the ring to run at high speeds, withstands vibrations, acts under rapid acceleration and absorbs a certain degree of impact load.
The most Self-Locking Retaining Rings cannot be easily removed once installed as they do not have lugs or lug holes. Thus they accommodate less force. Ideal for the appropriate applications they are cost-effective.
